Purpose
CrowTrace is an OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) platform for searching and correlating digital identities from publicly available sources. These terms govern access to and use of the service available at crowtrace.io.
Acceptable use
CrowTrace is intended for lawful and ethical use only, including:
- —Information-security research (CTF, authorized pentesting)
- —Identity verification within an authorized professional context
- —Personal OSINT on your own data
- —Educational and academic use
Prohibited uses
It is strictly forbidden to use CrowTrace for:
- —Harassment, doxxing, or intimidation of others
- —Unlawful surveillance without explicit consent
- —Any activity contrary to applicable French and European law
- —Abusive scraping or circumventing API limits
- —Reselling or redistributing data without written authorization
- —Impersonation or fraudulent access to third-party systems
User account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Any fraudulent use must be reported immediately via @crowtrace_bot. CrowTrace reserves the right to suspend any account in breach of these terms, without notice or refund.
Intellectual property
The CrowTrace platform — its code, design, correlation algorithms, and proprietary databases — is the exclusive property of CrowTrace. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written authorization.
Data accuracy
CrowTrace indexes publicly accessible data only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided. Data is presented for informational purposes only.
Limitation of liability
CrowTrace cannot be held liable for the use made of information obtained through the platform, nor for any direct or indirect damages resulting from such use. CrowTrace's liability is limited to the amount actually paid over the last 3 months.
Changes
CrowTrace reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of substantial changes. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. CrowTrace may terminate an account for breach of these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violations.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts are those of Paris.
